The interior shows the most alteration starting in the back with a double bed platform built over storage that is accessed from either the outside thru the rear doors or from the inside. The mattress is as comfy as they get (Sealy Posturepedic) and with the rear doors open & Mosquito netting rolled down you can expect a restful night after a day of driving or playing wherever you may find yourself! The removable padded bench in front of the passenger side of the bed has a hinged lid that accesses storage (under the bed platform as well) where I keep two portable foldable shelf units that hang from the ceiling for clothing storage or whatever. A Lagun table mount (not pictured) also is mounted vertically next to the bed which allows a dining or workspace for two.
The two way spacious fridge/freezer is on the right side of the door entry with storage above and the HVAC system above that which is controlled from a thermostat above the counter in the galley. This unit will only function when the motor is running. There is an DC independent AC unit mounted below the sink in the galley which will only operate under shore power. A new microwave complements the galley and I’ve used a two burner propane stove that I typically use outside for most meal prep. There is ample storage drawers & compartments to accommodate just about anything that you’e want to have when camping & most of those spaces are illuminated with interior lights to make for easy viewing.
The cockpit has been altered minimally with upgraded captains seats, a Pioneer MP3 deck & speakers mounted in the ceiling of the cabin. All of the original switches are still there but some have been re-purposed for such things as fog lights & to operate the power extendable mirrors. The van drives much more stable then one would guess as it’s had upgraded suspension features & @ just a tad over 21′ long is easy to drive & park in wilderness as well as urban environments.
